There will be an annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday.  You’ll look high and low for clues to enter to win some great prizes while enjoying the gorgeous grounds of Westport House & Gardens.  Pinkie Rabbit will be back to help you celebrate the holiday and the first 300 children to complete the hunt will receive a complimentary egg. Every family that finishes will be entered to win some great prizes being awarded at 5:30pm. Be sure to get there early –it promises to be an egg-cellent day out for all the gang.

Opening for Easter mid-term break, Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park provides the ultimate in family fun.  The Park is filled with attractions including water rides, slides, swinging ships, swan pedaloe boats, pitch and putt, tennis and table tennis, playgrounds and soft play.  There are lots to satisfy those interested in history and culture in Westport House itself, it is a place not to be missed when visiting Westport.  For the more adventurous there are other activities within the grounds such as zorbing, archery, orienteering, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sailing and combat games. (These cost extra and are not included in the price of Admission)

Regular admission charges apply – the Easter Treasure Hunt is included in entry to the Pirate Adventure Park.

Boheh Stone Walk

Immerse yourself in Mayo’s pre-historic culture, and come and view the Buheh Stone, a unique Neolithic feature. This guided walk, with local archaeologists, takes place twice yearly, in the spring and Autumn. The spectacular highlight (weather permitting) is seeing the ‘Rolling Sun’ phenomenon for yourself, as the sun appears to be slowly rolling down the slope of the mountain.

he Lambert Puppet Theatre is now widely recognised as the premier touring Puppet Theatre Company in Ireland and also internationally renowned for its many fine productions in
Theatres throughout Ireland, The UK and Europe..
From its earliest beginning the Lambert family has been involved with RTE TV, working on the hugely popular series Wanderly Wagon featuring the Late Eugene Lambert and Judge. Paula Lambert was the ‘Bosco’ voice on TV for seventeen years and indeed BOSCO is still a firm favourite with the younger children and will make a nostalgiac appearance in the opening part of the show. This is a beautiful production with large puppets,colourful sets and exquisite lighting and is suitable for an age group up to ten years of age.

You can’t see the Bee Gees anymore, but you can see ‘Nights on Broadway’ and still experience a concert of the incredible music written by the brothers Gibb.

Known also as ‘The Irish Bee Gees’, all the performers are from Ireland with the exception of their new UK Musical Director, JBlack. Having originated and sold out theatres in Ireland, the show is now touring in the UK.

‘Nights On Broadway’ presents a tribute to the Bee Gees through their catalogue of hits over 4 decades from the 60s to the 90s. The full live band blend the classic hits, acoustic medleys and dance floor fillers which define the show.
This is a totally live concert experience which prides itself on musical, in particular vocal authenticity, while the accompanying costume changes compliment the show to give audiences a truly original feeling.


Feile Chois Cuain Louisburgh

Féile Chois Cuain is one of Ireland’s premier festivals of Irish traditional music song and dance, held annually in Louisburgh, County Mayo.
This beautiful and remote village plays host to a vibrant music scene every May bank holiday weekend as local and visiting performers electrify audiences with sessions, concerts and masterclass and workshops.

The festival events are suitable for all age groups. Improvers will be given the opportunity to perform with, and learn from, others who have achieved great proficiency in the traditional arts. The classes, which are given by tutors of the highest calibre, are open to all age groups and pub singing and music sessions give an opportunity to the willing and able to join in.

Street sessions are encouraged to bring the festival activities to the attention of the wider population and add great atmosphere to the festival
